I conquered my nemesis

I did it, I really did it. I conquered my nemesis, also called the office. I could say I will never let it get like that again, but I know me and this is where everything lands, so it will return to that state soon enough, for now, I am enjoying just looking at it.

You know how when you buy something new it tends to jump start events because you want the perfect place to put the new objects? Well, I found a desk that I really like from IKEA, a bookshelf and I bought about 15 decorative pillows, pillow shams in all sizes and pillow forms. I had to put them in the room right away because they were so cute. So, I dove in and cleaned the office. Now the only 'clutter' in the room is the stuff that I am clueless about and have been asking Randy to go through since we moved in here. It is all current work stuff as well as active duty papers.
The bed I have in there is one of the beds that is a twin with a trundle, but the trundle pops up level with the bed to create a king size. It was Madison's original bed in AK when the selection was, lets just say less than optimal. So since there is no head or foot board, it looks pretty boring. Went to IKEA and bought 2 jumbo bolsters. I moved the bed to the center of the wall, put the pillows across the back and the bolsters on the side. I was going for the couch looking thing. Obviously it worked on my 3 and (almost)5 year old, they asked me when did we get a couch and where did the bed go. I also picked up a very small side table for $15 at a local antique store. After Steph gets here and can watch the kiddos, I will drive to go get the bed and ALMOST complete the look. (then photos) I say almost because I will want something over the desk, but have yet to find something. I have made major strides in the girls room too. (more on that after i get it done.)

Okay, I have to go back to work. Steph, Jon and Paige come in tomorrow afternoon for a week. I am super excited.
