I just love going to some of my favorite blogs and seeing these wicked cute backgrounds. I decided I need one too. I am not completely sold on this one, but love how easy it is to change them. I just don't like the banner with it. Maybe I need a new header. Oh wait, that would mean taking pictures of the girls and I haven't done that in...Weeks. Oh well, I guess I have to live with it for a while. Maybe soon.
Here is a something I have been toying with. I would LOVE your opinion. Here goes.
I am thinking of going back to take some college classes. The thing I am not so sure about is I would want to take them at the community college down the street. The classes I would want to take (photography ones) are classes working towards an associate degree. Weird huh? I already have a bachelors degree. Is that weird to go back for an associate degree? (If/when I decide I can handle a photography business, I really want to know how to completely use my camera. That requires taking these classes. I don't even know if you can take classes without working towards a degree, iewith all the English, math and what not.) Anyway, I am in the VERY beginning stages of researching this and thought I would talk to people who know SO MUCH more than me. Okay, that is your cue to go comment away.

I don't know much about it, but I find it EXTREMELY ODD that I have a VERY similar post sitting as a draft in my posts list! But I don't know what I'd want to go back for... or do in the future. I'm pretty sure you can take classes just to take classes... and I don't think it's odd to go back for something different when you already have a degree of some kind. How weird to read this tonight but it makes me feel so much less alone!
Hey, I had a 65 year old woman in one of my classes in college...you have more than enough time!
As far as random courses, yes, you could just take a volleyball class or sewing for all they care. My stepmom used to take aerobics offered at the college near our house and she'd receive credits for it...even though she gave two craps! Go for it, I think it would be fun!!!!!
I am going to back to get a bachelor's degree in the spring. I feel totally weird going to a university at my age....in fact I'm gonna blog about it.
You definitely can just take classes without working towards a degree. I think that would probably be the best for you--take the classes you are interested in, and if down the line it looks like you are set up for getting another degree, then you can get one! But, I would just focus on the classes you want to take.
There may be some classes limited to degree earning students, but the majority should be available to interested parties. I started an associates program in dietetics and already have a bachelors. Now I think I am going to scrap it, but am glad I took the classes. I say do it!!
What about auditing the classes? That way you can take what you want and get the information you need without worrying about degree requirements.
I would just contact an admissions advisor or an adivisor in that dept .. perhaps your previously taken courses would count anyway and you wouldnt "have " to take them you could just take the photography classes, especially since you arent really looking for a degree, although it seems odd that they done just offer them as continuing ed classes.
in any case, it sounds fun to tkae some classes!!!
Go for it! I've always regretted passing on graduate school.
