It's Monday again isn't it?

Well, I have five vehicles in my driveway, and Randy has been to Home Depot twice. One would think that would equal progress wouldn't you?....WRONG!

Already this morning, there have been a number of things that have gone, well, WRONG:

~The microwave doesn't fit. (are you serious?)
~The drawer pulls and knobs don't have the right sized screws (They come with small ones but we have to buy longer ones separately, can you say waste of money?)
~Madison had NO uniform shirts clean. (I am not used to doing laundry every week. She ended up in a long sleeved shirt and it is going to be 80. What a great mom I am)
~Since the sink cabinet isn't coming in until Thursday or Friday, they are not going to get the plumbing in until then. He only wants to do it once. HELLO, that means NO bathroom on the first floor and in that case still NO kitchen because there is NO water on the first floor.
~I have painted and touched up 800 times and I still have 800 times more. WT? How is that possible)
~There is a big scratch/dent on the floor. I don't think we did it. It is in the middle of the floor and I see it ever time we pass. It isn't a scratch where the finish is gone, it is more of a long dent.
~The HVAC guys have been here since 7:30am. Randy was still in bed. Well, they are still here and there is still NO heat or air. I am guessing that is going to cost us a FORTUNE.
~They also said there may be some other things wrong with it. GREAT!
~Every one has been here since before 8 and THERE HAS BEEN NO PROGRESS, nothing. Not appliances, no NOTHING
~I have been neglecting my poor sweet Cait all morning trying to change out the girls closet. They went to church Sunday and looked HORRIBLE. I had very few dresses that weren't sleeveless, Madison had NO shoes that fit (and when I say NO I mean only her school shoes, tennis shoes, and flip flops) All of Caitie's pants are too short and when she runs with the bigger size pants on, they fall down around her ankles. Have you ever tried to find a belt for a kid that little? I have only gotten the summer-est stuff out of Cait's side of the closet. I had hoped for progress in the kitchen so I could have uncovered the fall/winter clothes in the back of the storage closet by pulling out all of the stuff in front of it that goes in the house. But since there is NO progress... ITS A VICIOUS CIRCLE!

Did I mention it is only 11:30? Oh man, I am thinking everyone should just go home now and save me from adding anymore to my above list!

Oh my goodness!! you really are having a MONDAY, aren't you? Im so sorry.

As for the uniforms...take this advice as being worth exactly what you paid for it...I finally bought enough uniform pieces so as to have enough for a whole week for both boys. Then, there is one laundry basket that is for UNIFORMS ONLY. It is full on Friday, obviously, but I wash it all on Sunday night. Then, I fold and stack them with a whole uniform together(e.g pants-shirt-pants shirt) All uniforms live in their own rubbermaid drawers in the closet (not in the regular dresser. I even keep socks and belts in baskets on top of those drawers. Basically, uniforms run as a whole separate operation. around here. It has changed my life so much for the better. I know that on Sunday night, I have the whole week's uniforms ready to go.

Oh poor you! Holly has the same problem as Cait. Her waist is too small for most pants that are long enough. This is why she has 1 pair of shorts and 0 long pants and most of the skirts I've doctored the waist. Dresses!! Lucky me, she loves them. I can't even imagine having the house that torn up for that long and then all those things you mentioned. It stresses me out just to read it!

And I love the idea of separating out the uniforms!!

I'm having a similar sort of morning, although my kitchen is all in one piece. Wanna come over and drink beer?

I am obsessing for you about the scratch on the floor. Can they fix that? I am seriously about to hyperventilate about it!

Everything sounds stressful about your Monday! This too shall pass...
