So Katie rushed over (thank you so much!) and she liked it..at first. I then proceeded to walk her to the other side of the room and have her look at it from that side. She said "Oh no that has to go!" She was right however. It is a beautiful color, just maybe for a very bright accent wall. I think I just don't have the natural lighting in my kitchen to pull it off. So it was back to LOWE's to try again. This time we bought three samples.
Fishermen's net,
Veil Dust (or something like that)
And oh it is super late and I have been priming ALL night. I can't remember the name. We put them on the wall and will see which one we like. This is super hard.
The good thing of the day?>>> I have 10 upper cabinets in and the range hood and 6 lower cabinets. Some even have doors on them. Unfortunately he will not be here tomorrow, but we can pick the paint and maybe have it painted by the time he comes back. That way, we are not the ones holding him up. Today we bought a sink, faucet, picked out drawer pulls, hanging lights, a new light for the foyer, and paint for the bathroom. I am trying to decide if I am going to do the bathroom and mud room the same color or not. Oh well. I really see the light at the end of the tunnel, but I think I might be stuck in one of those fun houses (you know the kind that sandy and Danny are on at the end of Grease) you would see at the fair. I am walking towards the light/finish line and the daggum floor is moving backwards. Oh well, I guess we will get there some day.
And the biggest thing? CAITIE has her first day of preschool tomorrow. She is so looking forward to it. I have to stay the first day and she has already told me she doesn't need me and I can leave. I tried to tell her that everyone stays the first day and she just said, no that is okay. I guess Miss independent is ready for school!

I can't wait to hear how her first day of school goes today!
I think we need photos of the new paint samples on the walls!!
HOORAY FOR PRESCHOOL. I love preschool. How did I ever live without it??
Yes, yes - photos of paint samples!
Better that you made this decision 2 hours into painting and not after you had finished the whole room!
