Stand up2cancer

Did anyone watch the Stand up 2 Cancer show on any of the three major networks?

As most of you know, I am coming up (in one short month) of being 2 years cancer free. My cancer was in my thyroid. I was super lucky for a few reasons.

One, it was found by accident. I had just moved here and thought I would get set up with a "civilian" doctor.

Two, it was thyroid cancer and it tends (almost always) to grow only in thyroid tissue/cells.

Three, it was completely contained.

Four, I had (and have) a great doctor team (pretty much lead by my brother-in-law TJ).

Anyway, at the one year mark, after having my thyroid removed and radioactive iodine, I had an advance thyroid test that check for any thyroid tissues in my body. It was negative (no thyroid cells found). Which means I should be good to go.

So where am I going with this?

IF you have the means, please donate. If you have just $25.00 (that is just 6 Starbucks skinny vanilla lattes), Can you imagine what this could do? Can you imagine your children's world WITHOUT CANCER?

STAND UP 2 CANCER! Please donate and link my blog to yours or the Stand up2 Cancer link on your website. So often the Internet is used for not so great things. Lets get the word out and use the Internet to our advantage. Wouldn't that be great if we never had to hear that horrible word again!

please don't think oh, I will do it tomorrow. We all know our lives, they get crazy. It took me 2 minutes to click through the info and donate. Just like that you can help rid the world of cancer, or at the very least find ways to catch it in the earliest stages the suffering can stop.

Do you know anyone affected by cancer? Family members, you? friends? Share your story.

PLEASE, DONATE WHAT YOU CAN. IF NOT 25, THAN $20 OR $10. every dollar helps!

(sorry if it sounded like I was preaching. I really didn't want it to come across that way. I don't think I will ever forget where I was and how I found out. The sheer strength of the word Cancer is something that becomes burned into your memory forever. And like I said, I just had to have radioactive iodine, I didn't even have to go through radiation or chemo.)
