Okay, officiallly starting to freak out about Christmas!

So I have been reading some of your posts for a few weeks about how much you had to do for Christmas and if you were really going to get done in time. I have been trying to keep an open mind about the whole Christmas season. I love enjoying the season and don't like to be rushed.

WELL.. So much for that. It is Sunday night and I am officially freaking out. Here is how my day went. When I woke this morning. I didn't even have the time of day people were coming to my house. Forget a menu, there was so much to get done before that thought process could happen.
We did however make it to church. That is a huge thing since it starts at 9, it is a Christmas service and Randy wasn't here to help. Score one for me! After church, I went to FedEx to mail my Christmas presents to my family, yes, you read that right. It is December 23rd and I am just now mailing presents on a Sunday no doubt. Some of it wasn't my fault. I was waiting on a few presents. I still didn't get one, but grandma doesn't read the blog so she won't realize anyway!

Then it was lunch time. Whoo hoo, you know what that means...NAP TIME for the girls (okay, you caught me, I just rested for about 20 minutes, I promise!) I at least got a menu somewhat started.
After the girls woke up, we got a snack and headed to the grocery store. Oh, did I mention it was pouring down rain, windy and cold? Or as Madison now says, "It is nasty out here!" So here is the thing. I am not doing a normal Christmas Eve dinner. Renee is having Christmas day at her house and it is going to be ham and the fixins that go with that. I didn't want to duplicate it and didn't want to have turkey..again, so I am having heavy appetizers, and then Tex-Mex pulled pork sandwiches and Parmesan potatoes. Yummy right? I think I broke the bank at the grocery store and couldn't find some of the main components. Chicken wings. Randy is going to fry them, but I can't find them. I am not sure what I am going to do. Randy said he would find them, but good luck with that. I also forgot blue cheese dressing. I guess that is why the stores are open Christmas Eve and Randy will be around to go to the store.
It is now 8:30 and I have only two different kinds of dough made, one desert and nothing else. AND MY KIDS ARE STILL UP! I know that is hard to believe. That is how out sorts it is around here.

Here is one of my infamous lists of things I still have to do. Please feel free stop by NOW and help with them.
1. finish 2-4 different types of cookies
2. wrap all kinds of presents
3. put the presents together that have tons of parts (to save on Christmas morning.)
4. completely clean my disgusting house (really that is such a daunting task it has to go for more than one number How about 4,5,6,7,and 8)
9. finish one present.
10. decorate the table for Christmas
11. make sugar cookies with the girls
12. clean up sugar cookie mess.
13. sleep
14. Laundry (since the girls Christmas jammies are way at the bottom of the barrel)
15. Unpack from my trip almost a week ago.
16. Clean out the dining room so we can all sit there.
17. and and and
Okay, now i am just wasting more time. I hope all is well in your world. I am going to put my kids to sleep because I am kind of like Cinderella and her pumpkin. After about 7:30, the mother in me turns back into a pumpkin. By then I need to be Tracy and not mom. The clock is well past the pumpkin stage.

Have a Merry Christmas! Remember to count your blessings. I know I am truly blessed. (and truthfully, it doesn't matter if it isn't perfect. I will be surrounded by friends and family, and I know they really don't care!)
