Three..err..four?

Tonight Madison and Cait's cousins are spending the night. They have been so good all afternoon and evening. I was thinking to myself, wow, this is pretty easy. I guess I didn't look into the future far enough. Bedtime by yourself with four kids is tricky..

Here is how it played out (so far anyway) I put Cait down at her normal seven o'clock hour. That was smooth sailing. Schaefer was left with the two older ones downstairs. Now for those of you who know Schaefer, you know that is a little scary. For those of you who don't.. well, lets just say his family has affectionately nicknamed him WMD, as in weapons of mass destruction. He did remarkably well (as far as I know!)

With Cait down, that left three. I let them watch a movie, with popcorn sent by Renee. I am not sure if the movie was that great. It was called the Last Mimsy. There wasn't any questionable material, I just don't know if they really got it. It was kind of about the future and the past and a little magic (I guess we will see if they have nightmares tonight or not). I decided to keep Schaefer up so he would be good and tired.

At about 8:45 we all headed upstairs. I put Schaefer in the guest bedroom and told him goodnight. I went into the girls room where Jack was on the trundle. He decided he wanted to go home.. Oh boy. We talked about picking animals out to sleep with and what we were going to do tomorrow and so on until I think he was okay with sleeping here (it is over 40 minutes back to his house). Then I come out of the room into the hallway to have Schaefer greet me at the door. That didn't go quite as I had planned.

I figured out I needed to have a drink for him in bed, so I ran downstairs, got a drink and so far he is still in bed. Why did you tell me this long drawn out story you ask? I have to stay in the office until I know everyone is asleep and I can go back downstairs. There is nothing to do in here except something on the computer. Since there are no new blogs, that left this story.. Still with me?

Well, I am attempting to get four kids ready and get off to church by 8:30 tomorrow. Randy will get home tonight around 1 am and then leave again tomorrow afternoon. I think with his help it should work. I am not sure how you moms do it with three, four and even more. You are quite amazing..

A little extra on spell check.. I have found a way to have some sort of spell check. If you install the Google bar on your computer (a free download that just goes at the top of the page and has a Google search box, weather, etc) you can add a spellcheck button. After you type it will detect the words you have typed and spell check them.
