Who would have ever thought I would consider this a "spring break trip" I have such fond memories of driving to Daytona Beach with 5 of my friends in my dad's minivan (and doing things I probably shouldn't mention because my parents do read this!). Spring break to Illinois would not have been one of the things I considered, but we had a really good time none the less.
Here are three grandchildren. It is a shame Paige looks as if she is being swallowed up by the girls,
Auntie Foph decided to put their hair up before Nana gave them a bath (didn't I say I was on vacation? that meant from baths and hair dos too!)
Auntie Foph decided she would swaddle the girls in Aunt Kimmy's blankets like she does for Paige. here are the results. they look rather silly, but had a blast.
And we got to go out to dinner with just adults. That was too weird. We went to Longhorn Steakhouse. Nana watched all three kids and Steph (auntie Foph) Jon, Randy and I ate a dinner in piece. I had a blackberry peach margarita. Holy cow it was yummy, but it was EIGHT dollars. Seriously, am I getting old or does that sound expensive to anyone else?

Oh and all I have heard the last couple of days since we have been home...
"Mommy, what can we play? Mommy can you play this with me? Mommy, where are we going? Why aren't we going anywhere? When are we going back to Illinois?" I love going back to Illinois, but the transition back to reality really sucks. Obviously for them as well.

cute photos as always!!! I love the pig tails, too adorable :0)
You do a great job of capturing their personalities! These photos are so playful...
The margarita sounds good, but I agree....RIDICULOUSLY expensive. And, I totally hear you on the "back to realtiy" thing. I hate that!
