Okay, let me back up a little bit.
Today we went to church. Then I didn't really feel like going home so we went to Target...Oops, so much for the credit card. But in my defense, they were Easter dresses and a sweater for Renee (she seems to be able to find more at my target and I seem to be able to find more of what I want at her target). I also took an organizational tool from Swistle and Karen. I am always ticked off when I can't find a matching shoe. I bought two little bins and tossed all of Madison's shoes in one and Cait's in the other. Such a simple thing really, but boy is it going to make a HUGE difference. After Target, we came home, had lunch and I put the girls down for a nap. It is raining and ugly here so I didn't have to feel guilty about squeezing in outside time into our day. After naps, I loaded them back up and we went to a different Target. (I decided the bookshelf the girls had in their room just wasn't cutting it. It was short and long and that would mean I would have to find something else to go on the wall, so I decided they needed a taller thinner book shelf. After some research, I decided I liked the Shabby Chic one and it goes with the girls dressers. I also needed a few staples for the week and ran through a grocery store afterwards. (more on that later) After a few under the breath choice words, I finally got the silly thing together. I really think it looks good. I moved some of the books to the other room. They have SO many books, that I try and split up the locations so there are books available everywhere. Sweet Little Paige will be getting some of the baby books. Anyway, it looks really good. I am really starting to see some sort of finishing accessories in their room. I have stuff for over their beds, and know what I want over Cait's dresser (now just have to find it) one of the other walls, I want to put one of those crisscross boards so they can start putting their art work on it. I think I am going to put some pictures of the two of them and then I think it will be done for now. Why didn't I wait until Randy was home?? Well, sometimes you just have to get things done right then you know? I even secured it to the wall. I rock.
So I put them to bed super late because of all of that. And about the yo yo sizing? I was going to switch Cait's clothes out to 3t, but I went down and there was close to three 18 gallon totes of clothing to go through. She will still be able to wear all 2t Capri's and shorts, but only some shirts and who knows about the dresses. Madison is the same way for the 4t, 5t, and 5/6. The task at hand is just too daunting right now. I think in total between the two of them there is almost 7 full 18 gallon totes. Do you realize how many little people clothes can fit into those containers? Now, I just want to make a disclaimer that I purchased maybe 1% of the clothes. The rest all all thanks to Renee. She has successfully kept my children clothed since birth..God love her..
Now one more thing, back to the grocery store thing. Why is it so difficult to build one large grocery store that has EVERYTHING you need? There was Shop and Save in my home town and it had everything (including liquor) that one would need. I have not found a grocery store here like that. One place carries one brand and then I have to go to another store to get something else. It is kind of weird. And today it was a completely different store, so I didn't know where anything was. They didn't even have Planter's Almonds, or any almonds for that matter. Don't you hate when you go through the hassle of making a list and then you get to the grocery store and can't find the silly thing... It was in my back pocket. I conveniently found it when I got home. That did a lot of good.

Nice bookcase! We also have tons of books and I go back and forth on spreading them around the house and lumping them all together. And we also have had similar issues with the clithing fit. I think that's part of why Holly really only wears skirts or dresses. Her hips are too smal for all the pants that are long enough. What a pain!
My hometown has a giant grocery store that has everything as well. I am totally not used to the East Coast weirdness, either! I REALLY miss being able to buy beer and wine at the grocery store!
I love the bookshelf! How did you secure it to the wall? I need to do that on a few of ours.
