pretty piggies

Well, I am officially NO longer a pedicure virgin. That's right, I am now a woman!! Actually if you know me at all, you will know a very well know fact about me...I REALLY DISLIKE FEET! I don't like touching them and in turn, I am really not fond of people touching mine either. When I got the green light to go have a massage and anything else you would like from Randy, I thought, what the heck, summer is coming (at least it is suppose to be) and I am going to have pretty toes.

The Massage.>>> Holy crap did I need that. I don't do Swedish massages. Seriously, it is just some person rubbing up on your skin. Not too appealing to me and certainly not relaxing. Now sign me up for a deep tissue massage any time! I want to come out of there more sore than I went in. Weird huh? I filled out a survey about where I have the most pain. Hello, I think where everymom feels it, back and neck. She worked on my neck and shoulders and upper back for 20 or so minutes (I am not sure, my eyes were closed, but judging from when I flipped over, it was close to that), and she said, of finally I am getting your muscles to move a little. Can you say knotted muscles? It was pretty cool though, she knew by my muscle tightness, I was left handed. So tonight I am getting pretty sore. Hopefully they are just sore from being un-knotted and they are not just knotting back up.

on to..

The Pedicure>>>It wasn't nearly as bad as I had suspected. there was a chair that was massaging my back the entire time, and a tub soaking my feet with a whirlpool jet. She put all kinds of stuff on my feet and then used a pumice stone thingy just a little. I guess my feet weren't that bad because she only hit a few spots. After all of that, she picked a BRIGHT red. ( I just told her in the red family, I didn't really care what color) and I was out the door. (of course 45 dollars later) I think it will probably be something I do once or twice a year. I did not think it was worth that much. But remember, I don't like feet. (I took a picture of my pretty toes, and then looking at it, realized my toes are NOT pretty and could not bring myself to post the longest toes in the world with really red nails)

And Randy had the girls all ready for nap when I got home and I got another few moments of quiet. OH, and my second personal favorite event of the day, all of the laundry is has been washed. There is still a load to go in the dryer tomorrow and all the hanging clothes to put away, but, yay me! (Do you realize I haven't done laundry since before leaving for Illinois on March 20th ?) A very successful day for Tracy.

Other quick tidbits.
The landscapers came this weekend and defined and mulched all of our beds. Wooweee it looks purdy. A whole team of people swept in, cleaned it all up and swept out. That is the way to do yard work. Then today, the tree people said they had time to come out. They had a HUGE pine tree knocked down and mulched in under 30 minutes. It was absolutely amazing to watch. It is so nice to have that ugly tree gone. It sat right at the base of the driveway and you couldn't see to the left and it blocked the view of the house...NO LONGER! It is nice to be able to pay someone to do all this work. Poor Randy worked his tale off last year and he just couldn't make as much progress all summer as these people did in two afternoons. Now that is not to say that he didn't work super hard, it is just that there was A LOT of work to be done on a acre of land, especially when the previous owners loved to garden. LOTS of upkeep that we are slowly bringing back to grass.

Haven't been in a few months as I am worried about the fumes, but I am in desperate need now that it is flip flop weather. Welcome to the Pedi club :0)
