The weather...Grrr

I think the weather is REALLY affecting my mothering. Although I have never claimed to be a GREAT mother, I really think my ability has suffered due to the weather. I seem to be rolling through each day and thinking, "tomorrow it will warm up or be sunny and we can go outside>" That has happened almost everyday for over a month now. I am short with the girls, I feel irritated with just about everything they do and I am beyond tired of cleaning up after them. I think I just classically defined spring fever for mommys, but it doesn't help knowing what it is if I can't remedy it. I seriously feel if I have to pick up that playroom one more time or step on a toy that is out of the playroom, I may just throw it ALL away. Today, I turned off the TV and wouldn't let them do anything until they cleaned it all up. I think they are doing more playing than cleaning up. What happens is they destroy their very nice sized playroom and then they think they can come out into the family room, kitchen and dining room to play. Oh no sistas, I don't cook in your playroom when my kitchen gets dirty...

I base summer on Renee's pool opening. Hello, it opens in 3 weeks and 2 days. I don't see summer getting here that quickly and I am beginning to wonder if Spring will get here by then either.
(side note about me.. I am very rarely cold. If it wasn't for Randy, I would rarely run the AC. The thought of summer and not being constantly cold is a thought i have in my head from the start of fall. It is not fun to be constantly cold. And when you set your house on 70 or 71 and you have a $400 dollar electric bill, the thought of turning it up is just too much to take. Oh how I miss the days of living on base and setting my heat around 75 or 76.)

DIDN'T I TELL YOU ABOUT THE POOL?
WE HAD THE POOL GUYS HERE TO FIX THE LIGHTS(FINALLY) AND WHEN THEY GOT THE OLD LIGHTS OUT AND LOOKED OR WHATEVER THEY FOUND A HUGE,MONSTER CRACK INSIDE WHERE THE BULB GOES IN THE CONCRETE, WHICH IS PROBABLY THE REASON THAT WE WERE LEAKING SO MUCH WATER LAST YEAR.THEY ARE NOT SURE WHAT IS GOING TO HAVE TO HAPPEN TO BE ABLE TO FIX IT OR EVEN IF THEY CAN.IF IT CAN BE FIXED HE SAID IT COULD BE UP TO A COUPLE OF MONTHS OF WORK AND SOME MAJOR CASH.CAN YOU BELIEVE IT? JUST WHEN IT STARTS LOOKING LIKE WE MIGHT BE SWIMMING SOON IN A NICE HEATED POOL. BUMMER DUDE..... OK, I'M DONE FOOLING AROUND NOW!!!!!!!!!!! ONLY A COUPLE OF MORE WEEKS AND WE WILL BE SWIMMING FOOLS AROUND HERE.

Honestly, I think I would rather have your weather. I know it sounds crazy, but it is so F'ING humid here that I can't take it; oh, and it's only April. I am dreading, DREADING the summer around here and especially being pregnant. I just don't understand why in the hell Texans love it here so much. The winter is wonderful and the summer blows. What's so amazing about that?

We are getting teased in my part of the country. The weather has been about 70ish for a few days. This weekend looking at highs in the 50's. What a bummer.
