weekend and no blogs.

Since I think my refresh button is broken on the reader (read:I have no life and check in on other people's lives too often) I figured I would update on the kitchen.

Day 1: T minus 2 days until actual hammer smashing, wall disappearing, cabinets gone, tile smashing demolition.

Today I spent the day emptying out the cabinets and trying to find places for it. I think I mildly hurt my back lifting. I just hope it will be better in the morning. I took EVERYTHING downstairs. Most of it I found a temporary home for, but there are still three boxes of things that I may still need. I ran out of steam before I was able to do any other destruction.

The girls played SO well together. They of course TRASHED the playroom, but what do expect when left to their own devises?

On tap for tomorrow. I am going to move the girls' playroom (most of it) downstairs. That way they will stay down there. I am hoping to maybe take down some cabinets, but that might prove to be too much. I have to go get some trashcans to transport trash to the dumpster. I also have to go to the grocery store because we are SO low on food, I am not sure how much longer we could go. I have to get a small table as a makeshift counter for the laundry room or the now conversion to our kitchen. Randy's dad comes in on Monday afternoon/evening. I for one am so looking forward to his visit so I don't have to be Randy's "helper." My next door neighbor is coming over on Monday to play with the kids so we can have some good demo time.
