blogging break

I think I am going to take a blogging break. (although, it probably won't last long) I feel like my life is in chaos right now. I think I should wrap up some of the 50 projects I have going on and if I take this off the list (for a very short time) maybe I can get them done.

Here is a question to leave you with.

Do ever (a good portion of this is the mom syndrome, but anyone could suffer from it) feel like you start a project, are able to spend just enough time on it to really get it going, only to be pulled away from it, then by the time you get back to it, you pretty much have to start all over? (can you say RUN-on and on and on sentence?) OR do you start projects, get pulled away and then start another one before you get back to finishing the first one, so you have multiple messes going at once?

It is super annoying. It frustrates me to see those undone projects and know I need to finish them, but don't have the time.

My wish list left for the kitchen/1st floor: (which if I got these, I could finish the kitchen and then maybe have the time to blog again)

  • a working toilet. It scares me to have the girls going up and down those stairs to use the bathroom. We don't usually go upstairs as much and I would hate for them to fall.
  • Counter tops. Oh to be able to set a glass on something other than the oven.
  • DISHWASHER...enough said
  • kitchen sink
  • maid and a chef (oh wait, how did those get slipped in there!)

Keep checking back, because I will probably get bored and post in a few days.

I just feel like I never finish ANYTHING EVER. Or, if I do finish something (say I get the laundry done and the upstairs cleaned) then the rest of the house is a complete disaster. So, I can't ever just look around the house and sigh and say, "Done!" It just will never happen for me--unless I want to give up naps. Which I don't.

I feel the same as Katie - when I concentrate on doing something completely the rest of the house turns into a disaster. Usually then when I turn to the rest of the house, the thing I concentrated on gets messed up. But I have the problem of getting halfway through a project (imagine the closet now emptied in the living room), and then overwhelmed with indecision, and then I walk away. I suppose knowing I do it is the first step in making it right, but I'm still struggling with it! (And I think the more times they go up & down the stairs in the day, the less likely they will be to fall. That's always been my philosophy when we lived in a house with stairs.)

Accomplishing home projects - what is that like? I feel like my life is always in disarray!! Hopefully you will be blogging sooner than later about your progress :0)

YES. I feel like this a lot. Like, with everything. I understand taking a break from blogging, too, even though I don't want YOU to do it. ;-) I hope you feel better about the state of the state soon.

I think I should probably do the same thing and take a much needed break from the internet. I could probably got so much more accomplished!

Missing you!

So jealous that you are getting htings done! I don't think I would recognize "truly DONE" if it hit me in the face.

Ditto Katie and Joanna!

OK, Tracy. Enough is enough. I've been reading your blog for a long time now and never commented....yet. Yet is here. You will NEVER finish everything. And be thankful for this. I had a friend once who never did all her dishes (she didn't have a dishwasher). She left at least one cup as "seed". That way she always had her family around dirtying more dishes, clothes, etc. Having something to do (even if you don't want to do it) is much better than having everything done and wondering where everyone is and what can I do now.
I really enjoy watching the girls grow through your pictures. The last time I saw them, Cait was a month old!!
P. S. I caught a 17 1/2 pound silver salmon in Valdez this year!! Biggest fish I ever caught. Almost caught a sea lion too. He came right up to the side of the boat and snagged a hooked salmon I was trying to net. Scared the .... out of me!!
Keep posting, I'll keep reading.
