Holy crap I am on a MAJOR purge! Do you know how good that feels? Here is just some of the "stuff" that has been elimated from my house.
The childrens charities came today and I had a wardrobe sized box + a contractor sized trash bag full of stuff.
Since this morning I have thrown out 2 wardrobe boxes full of trash, as well as 2 kitchen sized trash bags and 5 shopping bags full.
I have filled up two large Old Navy bags (you know the kind when you buy a lot and they give you that really big bag?) with clothes I gave away.
I have switched out my closet from summer to winter (Hallejula I love fall!)
I was able to unpack my stemware for the first time in 9 years and put it in a cabinet over the bar.
I went grocery shopping and filled my new refrigerator as well as bringing up the stuff from downstairs.
The basement is 75% a basement again.
I was trying to find something under my stairs (storage) and went through the entire thing and have another wardrobe box (almost) full.
I went through the winter hats and gloves basket and discarded any of the hats that didn't fit. (there were hats in there that were 6-12 months, oops!)
The laundry was put away
Yesterday I took out all of the clothes that don't fit Cait and have them boxed up neatly (of course I have yet to find the clothes that do fit her, so that is a little tricky)
And about 80% of my kitchen is back UPSTAIRS!
It is finally coming together. I am really just writing this so I will sit down for a while. When I get on a roll like this I can end up staying up until ALL hours of the night. I don't like to leave things unfinished. But, it didn't get like this in one day and I know it won't get back to normal in one day. I finally getting excited. Tomorrow I go to pick out the slab of granite for the tops. I am hoping it isn't too big of a deal.
Upcoming posts (as soon as I get around to emptying my camera) Caitie and Randy went on a field trip to the pumpkin patch. He did a great job taking pictures, but he forgot to get one of himself with her. Bummer. Also, tomorrow afternoon I am planning on taking the girls to the Apple festival. I just love fall. (oh and I found honey crisps in the store the other day. When they are in season, we go through over $20 a week in apples. The other apple I really enjoy, Pink Ladies. They don't come into season until later into fall.
Have a great weekend!

Im ignoring the part about switching out your close tas it is 94 degrees here today. I am in another " I really hate effing Texas" state of mind regarding this issue ans Fall is my favorite season too!
