Health updates and travel events.

I have a few health updates..

My tests came back good. They weren't expecting to find anything, but did the test because it has been a year since the surgery. Now, all should be good. I go back to the endocrinologist in. February just for a check up.

Randy's dad is doing MUCH better. After almost two weeks, he is out of ICU and in a cardiac unit. They got him up and walking yesterday and he is eating more and more. He is able to get drinks himself, and feed himself. My Randy is heading out for a visit sometime this week. Keep the prayers coming. Big Randy is doing great, but still has a long way to go.

On to traveling. I am finally going home (meaning my home town, and not where my current home is). My entire family (almost is there, so I will be able to catch up with them. I will also get to see my sister, Jonathan and that new Baby Paige. Yay us!

Do you really understand what that means? I get a break from my kids Whoo hoo! I love seeing my family, but more than that, I love that THEY take the kids. I just so look forward to that!

At any rate, I will be off on Thursday for a blissful four days. (+plus two half days, travel days) If my posts have been at all negative, you can bet they will be full of cheer after Tuesday, I will have been through a spirit rejuvenation.

One more thing completely unrelated. Randy downloaded the GPS for my cell phone from Verizon...Can you say LOVE IT!!? I was driving through town today and thought I would take a different way. I thought I knew where I was, but was SO sadly mistaken. I just clicked two buttons on my phone and BAM, I was back in control. Now for all of you that have GPS systems in your car, or Garmins/TomToms, I know this is nothing new, but for me to have it is GREAT! I have been know to call my sister on more than one occasion and asked her to mapquest a location for me because I was lost. Now, there is a lady that tells me, "In .4 miles, you are going to turn left on Moores Mill Rd." Ahh, my sweet direction fairy!

YAY for good health updates! I hope Randy's pop is up and at 'em by Christmas.

Also, the GPS. It is a life-altering technology. I have a sister-in-law who would no doubt be lost on mars right now if not for the GPS.

You have a better attitude about holiday traveling than I do... I know we'll have fun too, but the packing and DRIVING and car-entertaining... UG.
