I love Christmas

Okay, so last night was just a temporary freak out. I really do love the holiday. I love to do the baking and the entertaining. I love having people over, no matter if they are family or not. (sometimes the not family even better because if they don't have family to go to, I know they are not alone! I guess it is a trait left over from active duty military) I got most of my list done. I cut a few things out, like the laundry. I did do the load with the girls' jammies, but that is about as far as I got. I made all of the cookies and decorated the table. The house was respectable, not perfect, but definitely respectable.

Everyone showed up, ate a lot and seemed to have a pretty good time. The kids played great. By the time it was dinner, no one was hungry. I kind of figured that, but I like it when everyone can just graze all day. Randy fried wings in the big turkey fryer, I made stuffed mushrooms, chips and salsa, and a hot pizza dip, cookies, and butter cake. That was just the appetizers. I had Tex-Mex pork ready for sandwiches, salad, and Parmesan potatoes. I know what i am going to be eating for the next couple of days.

It was a very nice day. Randy and I finished wrapping the presents and we are headed off to bed. MERRY CHRISTMAS! Hope your day is filled with fun and family.

Sounds like fun! All that stress usually turns into a good time - glad it all worked out!
