January 8,1976

32 to years ago on the 8th of January, my mom and dad welcomed, well they welcomed me into the world. I just couldn't wait to get into the world, so I made my entrance one month early (hard to tell now huh?.. watch it!!) Anyway after 10 days in an incubator, I was good as new and from then on, I think I have managed to give my mom every strand of gray hair she has on her head (Now that may be stretching it a little, Steph had of given her at least one, but I am pretty sure I am responsible for the rest!) Anyway, it is just another day right?

Oh wait, I do have a very special person I share my birthday with...

That's right! The King himself. Mr. Elvis Presley. I know right now you are surely jealous! It is just something that with time you will be able to accept!

So yay me! I really do like birthdays because they are special to just you. The day is definitely loosing some of its appeal the older I get.

What, you asked me what my plans are for the day? Well, since it was gorgeous here today, the girls and I went outside, me being the dumbass I can be sometimes, decided to pick up a rake and surprise Randy by raking up the leaves from the fall (I know, it is super late, but better late than never right?) There are a few problems with my logic...

1) WE LIVE ON A FREAKIN' ACRE OF LAND
2)I don't have the foggiest idea what I am suppose to do after they are in piles.
3)That is really hard work.
4)WE LIVE ON AN ACRE (that sounds vaguely familiar)
5) it takes longer than the three hours I had today to rake a little over half of the front yard.

SO for my birthday I need to finish what I started ...Damn resolutions. (Of course if I can't move tomorrow from raking for three hours today, does that exempt me from breaking my resolution. )To round out our day, Madison has gymnastics. Randy is suppose to be home sometime in the afternoon and has offered to take me out to eat. There are so many choices I just can't decide. Sounds like a fun day right?

So if you drive by my house and see a smile on my face while I am raking, don't be alarmed, I haven't lost my mind, it is just a good day!

Yippee! Happy Birthday! It will be a good one, even if you are raking leaves. Did you know it is customary to leave up the holiday decorations at Graceland until Elvis's birthday? So they leave them up for you too :0)

Happy Birthday! I can't believe you have been raking. You have officially lost it!!! What is WRONG with you? You should have been sitting in a chair, sleeves rolled up, sunglasses on, iced tea in hand, book in lap. DUH!!! :)

Happy Birthday to you!

You make me laugh at how you're taking your new year's resolution to heart already and not skipping out on the raking! A whole acre!! Are you kidding? Raking? Maybe now is a good time to shop for your birthday present of a new leaf blower!!

Enjoy your day anyway and wishing you a great year of being 32!

By the way - I think a riding mower with a mulcher and a bagger would be right up your alley.

happy birthday! And I second Andrea with the riding mower/mulcher. After you finish what you started I bet you'll think that'd be a GREAT birthday present! unless you like to jump in leaf piles...

Happy birthday Sis! I can't believe you are 32! You don't seem that old! You definitely don't look that old, which is amazing considering that you have had 2 beautiful children that you take fabulous care of! I hope you have a wonderful day! You definitely deserve it! Go out and order a steak with all the fixin's and some ridiculous dessert!

Between you & Katie, I'm about to move out East with all the Good Days going around.

Happy Birthday!

Once you get them in piles, you have to put them in yard waste bags for pick up. Or else illegally burn them, which around here, happens A LOT even though we live right in the middle of a freaking CITY. I do love the smell of burning leaves though.
