Wild hair up my...bleep!

The stupid internet was down all day... With the list of things I got done today, I have come to realize that maybe, just maybe the internet may be the reason for my NON-productive days.
I was able to get ALL (no, that is no typo really all) of the laundry done. Holy cow.

Here is a list of the things I accomplished today without any internet.
*Take care of my sweet SICK Madison.. We spent 2 1/2 hours Sunday at an urgent care place to find out she has strep throat. She is so sweet and a trooper when she is sick. She did sleep with me the last two nights. SO you do realize how much sleep I actually got, practically none. At 5:30 this morning, I went and slept in her bed so I didn't have to listen to her rumble as she was breathing. She is better than yesterday, but still is pretty pathetic. Hopefully Cait won't get it. Of course I am not holding my breath. *Friday was a snow day, even though there was no snow and it was above freezing so it was just raining, and now today, no school from illness. Tomorrow, no gymnastics from illness..Momma is going a little stir crazy.. (Oh sorry about that, back to the list)
*Laundry (I know, I already said that, but really it needs repeating!)
*I taped and painted the entire guest bathroom. (I had to cut in more than roll. There is chair rail in there -I know weird in a bathroom right-) I had extra paint from the guest room. I really disliked the color. I think it also bothered me that it was the only room upstairs not gutted over the last year. The room still had the previous owners tastes. Plus it was the first room you see when you go upstairs. I figured a little paint would help me not want to completely destroy the room and buy all new stuff (I want to do it, but I REALLY want to start on the first floor, you know the part of the house that people actually see??)
*Checked the internet about 800 times to make sure it didn't start working again.
*Played with the girls (something I seem to be really struggling with lately)
*Painted two sets of hands and two sets of toe nails.
*Cleaned TWO sets of painting tools (the first time with the majority of the room and the then the 2nd time to finish it off after the girls went to bed)
*Cleaned the kitchen three times...
*Straightened the basement (it was getting a little deep!)
*Had my a big cup of coffee in my favorite mug.
*And multi-tasking this evening by catching up all of the unread blogs (man there was a lot!) and then of course commenting and also watching the Super Bowl. Okay, I know, it was yesterday, but Randy wasn't here. I wasn't going to watch it without him, besides, I could care less about the game, hello, commercials!

Maybe the internet should be down more often...Did I just say that? What in the hell am I thinking? You are my friends, my very interesting friends. I have to stay on top of all of your events.
To whom it may concern:
Please oh please my crappy internet provider, please don't leave me stranded in my house with very few ties to the outside world (and a sick kid) EVER again.

Your Friend and very addicted customer,
Tracy
PS, when I call you and tell you, please don't immediately ask me to unhook my router. My freakin router is working fine. It is you freakin system that is malfunctioning.

(I guess this is where I have to go back and read this VERY LONG post to see the misspellings since my friend S.C. is still not working!)

Ha! Stupid internet provider. I HATE that company. Glad you're back online.

If I didn't have the Internet, my house would be much cleaner, I wouldn't be behind in EVERYTHING and I would also be INSANE.

On the days our internet is down, I do feel like I might shrivel into a corner and start to shake! Sounds like it was an ok thing and here you are blogging all about it. I should be making breakfast instead of checking email. oh well.

I have had this suspicion that the internet is causing me to be less productive. Now you have gone and proved it! What will I do? I have to think up some new rationalizations!

My biggest downfall is painting though. I painted my bedroom last week and my bathroom is on the list for this week. I can ignore everything when I have a painting project. the house. the kids' homework, and even the computer!

And, I totally agree - why do they ALWAYS assume it is your hardware's probelm and not their system/server??? Do they not think that I already checked that?? DUH!!
